Straight out of the ‘Matrix’ through the Making Pegasus Stallion Barn we introduce the powerful Iberian dream “Neo” (3/4 Andalusian 1/4 Percheron)  born 3/3/21 out of the Making Pegasus Dam “Tenacious As The Wolf” (1/2 Andalusian 1/2 Percheron) by the USPRE 2019 California Grand Champion 17 hand “Ronaldo UP”. 

“Neo’s” sire “Ronaldo UP” is a Pura Raza Española (PRE), or Andalusian, his grandsire being “Festivo MR” a stallion known for winning best movement and his impressive build and accomplishments including being a former USPRE Grand Champion. He is a chestnut stallion recognized for his excellent bold and easy-going temperament and performance capabilities in disciplines like dressage.

“Neo” has the genetics for power through his dams Percheron/Andalusian heritage and his sire’s bold winning movement bringing fresh spirit to the dressage stage.  “Neo” bred to a warmblood mare could produce foals in possession of a unique combination of size, beauty, and powerful graceful movement.

“Neo” is currently a little more than 16.2 hands and will grow for at least another year potentially adding another inch or two most likely topping out at 17 hands like his sire.

“Neo’s” movement is bold and expressive like his sire “Ronaldo UP but seems a little more graceful in the neck and spirited.

The name Neo is significant because it originates from the Greek word "neos" meaning "new", “young”, or “fresh” symbolizing renewal, rebirth, innovation and new beginnings which is exactly what the 1/4 genetic Percheron contribution brings in this Stallion.  Its modern popularity is also heavily influenced by the protagonist in the Matrix film series, Thomas Anderson, who discovers he is "The One" destined to save humanity. This has made the name Neo a symbol of free will, destiny, and truth in popular culture.
