 “Altair” is named after the brightest star in the constellation Aquila (the Eagle) and one of the 12th brightest stars in the night sky, known for its extremely rapid spin that makes it bulge at its equator. Its name comes from the Arabic phrase al-nasr al-tair, meaning "the flying eagle".
